Hello again!
I’m Sue – an Aussie who lives in the UK (and has done for more than a decade). At heart, I’m a writer, traveller, explorer, dreamer who loves life, nature and humanity. I’m a great believer in carpe diem – in seizing the day and making the most of life.
Along the way, I’ve gathered many stories, experiences and treasured family and friends. I’ve lived in two hemispheres, travelled to 30 countries, worked on a pioneering IVF team, started my own business, gained a university degree in my 40s and became a news reporter and features writer.
In Italy, I worked on a farm tending vegetables beside the olive grove. I’ve been close enough to whales to hear them breathe and look into their deep, knowing eyes. And then the adrenaline triggers – where I’ve been chased by a walrus, a viper, an emu, a stalker and a school of threatening scorpion fish (I was only wearing a bikini and scuba gear!).
Recently I celebrated six years of being cancer-free, for which I’m incredibly grateful! I’ve never been quite the same since but I’m working on it.
I feel blessed to have such special people in my life. I’m very happily married to an amazing person. I have a daughter who is a beautiful young woman, inside and out; the best son-in-law I could ever hope for; and a cheeky little grand-daughter who I love and adore. My large, lovable family and good friends are scattered across the world, and catching up with them is top of my list of favourite things to do!
Wherever you are in the world, please feel free to get in touch with me. If you have a story you’d like to share, let me know.
Adios for now!
Sue
